Ocean
Cynthia grew up on the east coast of Florida raised as a fish by her parents, she learned to swim before she could walk, and was surfing shortly after that. Her father, waterman extraordinaire, taught her to sail, free dive, scuba dive, and fish at a young age. A healthy respect for the ocean and passion for ocean conservation runs deep in her family.
Excelling in science and math, Cynthia combined her knowledge and passion for the ocean with her aptitude for physics by studying Marine Engineering. Her postgraduate Studies focused in Acoustics and underwater signal processing which landed her a professional engineering position at the leading industrial Acoustical Sonar company, EdgeTech.
She took a break from engineering and traveled the world perusing her dreams. Three of those years in Western Australia partly in the small coastal town of Kalbarri, known for some of the best surf on the west coast. She surfed, free dove, and spent every day in the water. But coming back to California always felt like home. For the last three years she has lived in Monterey California heading straight to the beach as soon as she gets off work, whether it be to stand up paddle board, kite surf, or soar the dunes on her paraglider.... you can find her covered in sand and salty most days.
